Dans le but de veiller à l’administration du diocèse de Spokane après le transfert du dernier évêque, son Excellence Mgr Blase Joseph Cupich, à l’archidiocèse de Chicago, le Souverain Pontife François, par la Providence divine, Pape, nomme et constitue par le présent décret de la Congrégation pour les Évêques, un Administrateur apostolique de ladite Église, le même Excellent P.D. B.J. Cupich à partir d’aujourd’hui et jusqu’à ce qu’il prenne possession canonique de l’archidiocèse de Chicago et lui confère les droits, facultés et fonctions qui reviennent aux évêques diocésains, selon la norme du droit.
Nonobstant toute disposition contraire.
Donné à Rome, du siège de la congrégation pour les Évêques, le 20 septembre 2014.
For the purpose of taking care of the governance of the diocese of Spokane after the transfer of the last bishop the most excellent lord father BJ Cupich to the archidiocese of Chicago, the supreme pontiff Francis through the present decree of the congregation for the bishops nominates and constitutes as Apostolic Administrator of the aforementioned church Fr BJ Cupich from today's date and until he takes the canonical possession of the archdiocese of Chicago and he attributes to him the rights, the faculties and the obligations/offices which belong to the diocesan bishop according to the law.
Nothing to the contrary withstanding.
